Key Responsibility
• To lead a team of biologists, responsible for team expansion, training, and its daily operation. To enforce and meet EH&S and other operational requirement.
• To optimize the current assay platform and develop new capabilities to meet market demands.
• To maintain and expand customer base globally. Promote platform service through collaboration with business development and marketing teams.
• To work as a team with colleagues across various functions (at department, division, and company levels) in client service as well as capability buildup.
• Effectively communicate and interface with worldwide business partners, develop and maintain excellent business relationship with internal and external clients.
• Provide scientific support to BDs and clients and deal with inquiries on WuXi Biology in vitro capabilities and data packs, working closely with the global team.
Qualifications
• MSc or PhD in biological sciences, with more than 5 years of relevant industrial experience.
• A strong publication record. Demonstrated experience in experimental design and execution in industrial setting.
• Hands on experiences in cell culture, in vitro electrophysiology (patch-clamp, MEA, etc) and other ion channel assays, and in-depth knowledge of related cutting-edge technologies.
• Demonstrated communication skills in both English and Chinese
• Capable of working with a large customer base and a dynamic supporting team to deliver strong business growth
• Strong leadership and people management skill in industrial setting
Preferred qualifications:
• Overseas education and working experience
• Experience in big CRO companies is a plus
