We are seeking a talented and motivated Bio-MEMS Engineer with a strong background in cell biology to join our dynamic team.
Job Summary:
The Bio-MEMS Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) for biological applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the field of bio-MEMS, coupled with a solid understanding of cell biology. This role requires a hands-on approach, innovative thinking, and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and development of bio-MEMS devices and systems.
• Integration of biological elements with MEMS technology.
• Conduct experimental studies to validate device performance.
• Collaborate with cell biologists to optimize device-cell interactions.
• Analyze and interpret experimental data.
• Document and present research findings to internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in bio-MEMS and related technologies.
Requirements:
• Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in bio-MEMS design and fabrication.
• Strong background in cell biology, including hands-on laboratory experience.
• Proficiency in MEMS fabrication techniques, such as photolithography, etching, and microfluidics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with microfluidic device design and fabrication.
• Knowledge of biocompatible materials and surface modification techniques.
• Experience with biological assays and cell culture techniques.
• Experience with design software or tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
• Publications or patents in the field of bio-MEMS or related areas.
• Knowledge of DNA-Encoded Library (DEL) technology and its applications.
